What you need
An iPhone and a goTenna Mesh radio, for you and for everyone you want to reach. Meshages talks to the radio over Bluetooth, and the radios talk to each other. No signal, Wi-Fi or account needed.
Pair your radio
Turn the radio on and hold it close to your iPhone. Meshages finds it and asks to connect. If it doesn't, open Settings in Meshages and tap your radio.
Everyone and groups
Everyone is open: any radio nearby can read it. A group is private. Only people holding its key can read it, and you share the key with a QR code.
Share your location
Sharing is off until you turn it on, and you pick who gets it. For it to keep going with the phone in your pocket, allow Location Always in the iPhone Settings app.
Messages arrive late or not at all
Radios need to be in range of each other, directly or through other radios. Get higher, get outside and keep the radio away from your body and from metal.
Emergencies
Meshages does not contact emergency services. Urgent reaches only the people you send it to, and only if their radio is in range.
