Privacy
Meshages is a messaging and map app for iPhone that runs on your own radios. Aeon has no servers for it, no accounts and no way to read what you send.
What we collect
Nothing. Aeon does not collect, receive or store your messages, your location or anything about how you use Meshages. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
Over the air
Your name, picture, status, battery level and messages leave your iPhone by radio, not over the internet. Radios nearby can pick up what you send. Messages on Everyone are open, and anyone nearby can read them.
Groups and direct messages
Group messages are encrypted on your iPhone, and only people holding the group's key can read them. Keys stay in your iPhone's Keychain and travel only in the invites you show. Direct messages are encrypted when you share a group with that person, and open otherwise.
Location
Meshages reads your location to put you on the map. It goes out by radio only when you turn sharing on or send Urgent, and only to the people you choose. With sharing on it can keep running with the phone in your pocket, if you allow that. The map itself comes from Apple when you are online.
Where your messages live
Messages and the people you meet are stored on your iPhone. Deleting a message or a conversation removes it from your iPhone, not from anyone else's. Deleting the app deletes them from that iPhone.
Bluetooth and notifications
Bluetooth connects Meshages to your radio. Notifications and spoken alerts are made on your iPhone from what your radio receives.
TestFlight
If you test Meshages on TestFlight, Apple shares crash reports and any feedback you choose to send with us, along with the details TestFlight provides about testers. We use them to fix the app.
Children
Meshages is not directed at children and Aeon collects no information from anyone.
